What we collect.
What we don’t.

No tracking pixels. No ad networks. No selling your data. Export or delete it any time. Plain English below.

Effective May 23, 2026

1. The short version

We collect what we need to run the product and nothing else. No tracking pixels. No ad networks. No selling your data. No training models on your customers’ words. You can export your data as a CSV at any time, and you can delete it whenever you want.

The rest of this page is the long version, in plain English.

2. What we collect from your customers

When one of your customers uses the link you share with them, we collect:

  • A star rating(1–5).
  • An optional comment (free text, only if they want to type something).
  • An optional name (only if they fill it in).
  • An optional contact — email or phone, whichever you configured. Only if they fill it in.
  • A timestamp of when they submitted.

That’s the whole list. We don’t collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, location data, browser cookies, ad IDs, or anything else from your customers.

3. What we collect from you (the business owner)

When you sign up for Review Us, we collect:

  • Your business name and the Google account email you sign in with.
  • Any additional emails you authorize for dashboard access (e.g. a partner or office manager).
  • A link to your Google Business Profile (so the thanks screen can point happy customers there).
  • Your brand basics — display name, accent color, logo if you give us one.
  • Standard billing detailsthrough our payment processor. We don’t store card numbers ourselves.

4. How we use the data

We use the customer feedback to:

  • Show it to you in your dashboard.
  • Generate your monthly Customer Insight Report (Pro and Custom tiers only). Comments get fed into an AI to surface themes, then the report is generated and cached on our servers.
  • Make the product better in aggregate (e.g. "how many submissions per month does the average client get") — never tied back to a specific customer or business.

That’s it. We don’t use your customers’ words to train any machine-learning model. We don’t resell the data. We don’t send it to ad platforms.

5. Where the data lives

Customer submissions and your dashboard data are stored in a Postgres database hosted on Supabase in a US region.

The site itself runs on Vercel (also US-hosted). Authentication runs through Supabase Auth using Google Sign-In.

We use Anthropic’s API to generate the monthly insight report. Per their API terms, they do not train on the data we send them.

6. Who can see your data

Your dashboard is locked to the Google accounts you authorize. By default, that’s just you. You can add other emails (partners, office managers, etc.) through the dashboard yourself.

The Marketing Lions team can access your data for maintenance, support, and to generate your monthly report. We don’t look at it for any other reason.

Hosting providers (Supabase, Vercel) can technically access the underlying infrastructure but don’t access your specific records. Their terms cover that.

7. What we don't do

For the avoidance of doubt:

  • No tracking pixels. No Facebook pixel, no Google Analytics, no Hotjar, no session replay tools.
  • No ad networks. We don’t send any data to advertising platforms. We don’t retarget your customers.
  • No selling, sharing, or licensingyour data or your customers’ data to any third party for marketing or any other reason.
  • No training AI on your data.We pass it to Anthropic to generate your report; Anthropic doesn’t train on it. Nobody else sees it.
  • No cookies for tracking. The only cookies the product sets are the session cookies needed to keep you signed in.

8. Your data, your control

At any time, from inside your dashboard, you can:

  • Export everything as a CSV. One click, no negotiation.
  • Archive individual submissionsso they stop showing in reports (they’re still recoverable from your archive view if you change your mind).
  • Add or remove authorized emails for dashboard access.

To delete everything — your customer submissions, your client record, the cached report — email us at david@marketing-lions.com and we’ll handle it within one business day. No questions asked.

If you cancel your subscription without asking for deletion, we keep your data for 30 days in case you change your mind, then we delete it.

9. Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

If you’re in a jurisdiction that grants you specific data rights (the EU, California, the UK, etc.), you have the right to request access to your data, correction of inaccuracies, deletion, and portability.

To exercise any of these rights, email david@marketing-lions.com and we’ll respond within one business day. If you’re a customer of a business that uses Review Us and you want your submission removed, contact that business directly — they have full control over their submissions through the archive + delete tools in their dashboard.

10. Children

Review Us is built for business owners and their adult customers. We don’t knowingly collect data from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted feedback through one of our forms, email us and we’ll delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy in a way that affects your data meaningfully, we’ll email you before it takes effect. Minor edits (typos, clarifications) get applied silently with the effective date updated.
